Cost, Duration & Intake Dates
Leadership and management qualifications are offered across several AQF levels, from a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management up to a Diploma and Advanced Diploma. As an indicative guide, total tuition commonly ranges from around AUD 8,000 to AUD 16,000, with the higher figures applying to Advanced Diploma study. These amounts are indicative only and vary by provider and location.
Course length follows the level you choose: a Certificate IV typically takes around 12 months, a Diploma of Leadership and Management usually runs about one to one-and-a-half years, and an Advanced Diploma generally extends to roughly two years. All are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Most providers run several intakes a year, commonly in February, April or May, July, and October.
Because leadership programs are offered by many registered providers, the right fit depends on your level, schedule, and budget. Active Study compares providers, confirms the exact current fees and intake dates, and helps you enrol in the qualification that best supports your management ambitions.
A leadership and management qualification can support a migration plan, but it works best when combined with relevant work experience. After completing an eligible course, you may be able to apply for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) where you meet the requirements, giving you time to build the managerial experience that many skilled pathways value.
The course entry notes that management and leadership qualifications support skilled migration applications in occupation categories including General Manager, Human Resource Manager, and Policy and Planning Manager. These roles are generally pursued through state-nominated pathways such as the subclass 190 and 491 visas, where eligibility depends on the occupation code that matches your study and experience, your points, a positive skills assessment, and state nomination criteria.
