The Certificate III in Plumbing is a nationally recognised AQF Level 3 trade qualification and is the formal training required to apply for a plumbing licence in Australia. Because plumbing combines extensive theory with hands-on and on-site practical work, the structured course typically takes around 12 months or more of full-time study.
Indicative tuition for international students commonly sits in the AUD 8,000 to 18,000 range for the qualification, though plumbing programs can be toward the higher end given equipment and licensing requirements, and figures vary by provider and location. Most providers offer several intakes a year, commonly around February, April or May, July and October.
